Compressor Systems

Liquid Ring Compressors

Nash Engineering's liquid ring compressor line, with sizes ranging from 20 to 2600 SCFM at up to 130 PSIG, includes the world's largest compressor in its pressure range, the HP-9, which produces 1700 to 2600 SCFM against 30 to 100 PSIG.

Designed primarily for the chemical and refining industries, the HP-9 conforms to the very stringent technical standards of API and EEMUA and is extraordinarily effective against 225 PSIG hydrostatic pressure tests.

We manufacture compressor systems that meet your needs for:

Explosive gases

Vinyl chloride recovery

Corrosive gas handling

Vent gas boosting

Electric Power Industry Systems

For over a half a century, Nash Engineering's systems have been the products of choice in steam cycle and geothermal power plants throughout the world. Reducing the effects of air leakage into the condenser, our vacuum systems save millions of dollars worth of fuel every day.

Self-contained condenser exhauster packages in steam cycle plants reduce inward air leakage, lower turbine backpressure, improve heat rates, and reduce generating costs. They provide sufficient SCFM capacity to compensate for circulating water temperature changes caused by seasonal climate variations.

They are designed to:

  • Perform reliably over the entire condenser operating range

  • Operate simply and automatically

  • Hold the condenser at the best vacuum during unexpected transients of air leakage

Gas loading from underground geothermal wells is huge compared to fuel-fired steam plants, and anticipating future steam conditions requires experience. Nash's extraction systems are the logical and efficient method of condenser gas removal, because they:  

  • Compensate for field changes

  • Insure the efficient use of steam

  • Prolong Geothermal Well life

 

The Hybrid Systems, consisting of a single stage liquid ring vacuum pump and steam jet air ejector, are the standard against which other products are measured and we are the only manufacturer of both steam jets and stainless steel liquid ring vacuum pumps.
